In this video I demonstrate how to get leaves out of pool with a [easyazon_link asin=”B002SG7NU4″ locale=”US” new_window=”yes” nofollow=”yes” tag=”lucpoo-20″ add_to_cart=”no” cloaking=”yes” localization=”no” popups=”yes”]Leaf Master[/easyazon_link]. Before purchasing however, check your water pressure. If it is weak, then this may not be the best tool to use. (Weak would mean that the psi is under 25) If you don’t have a pressure gauge, then use your best judgment. Most people know when they have good water pressure or not.
Tips to Help Make the Leaf Master Work Better
- Be sure you are using a decent garden hose, not those roll up or expanding types. They do not provide enough volume to be efficient.
- Using a ‘fine mesh bag’ helps pick up about 90% of the dirt, however if there is a lot of dirt on the bottom, mixed in with leaves, it’s best to use the regular mesh net, let the dirt settle, then vacuum the pool.
- After using, clean the bag. Do not store in the sun.
- Be sure the end of your hose has good threads, and screws in properly. Any leaks at the connection will decrease the water pressure to the Leaf Master, thus resulting in decreased efficiency.
- If your pool is extremely leafy, best to scoop the leaves out with a [easyazon_link asin=”B00KCXXVPQ” locale=”US” new_window=”yes” nofollow=”yes” tag=”lucpoo-20″ add_to_cart=”no” cloaking=”yes” localization=”yes” popups=”yes”]Deep Leaf Rake[/easyazon_link] first. Otherwise you will be stopping to clean the bag many times.
Keeping your pool free of leaves helps keep the surface staining at a minimum, and helps reduce the amount of chemicals needed.
